    Chambolle Musigny from Jean Michel Jacob. This Red Burgundy is a sublime expression of Pinot Noir. The wine is made from grapes grown in the village of Chambolle which has a unique landscape. The hill formation and soils are a perfect place for a geology lesson. The special characteristics give the area a great micro climate. The wine has a lovely dark ruby color with aromas of ripe cherry, savory herbs, buttered brioche and cocoa. The texture of this wine is silky, lush and full. The flavor lingers on long after the sip. While delicious now, there is a cellar potential of a decade. This is the last opportunity to get this wine as Jean Michel is now retired.
